FAQs

What is a chocolate community?

Our chocolate community is made up of chocolate lovers of all stripes who want to share their love of chocolate. None of us knew each other when we first started sharing chocolate, but we bonded over chocolate and continue to add new members. We hope you’ll join us!

Is there a membership fee?

There is no fee to join our community.

We gather each month for a tasting event, often partnering with a chocolate maker or another group of chocolate lovers to share in a virtual tasting. We charge for our events, which usually include a delivery of chocolate.

Can anyone join?

Yes! What’s involved in joining? Just sign up for our mailing list. We’ll send you information about upcoming events. You decide when and how you’d like to participate.

How did your chocolate community get started?

Chief Chocophile, Lauren Adler, created a vibrant community of chocolate lovers who were customers of her chocolate retail store, Chocolopolis. She closed the retail store in 2020 but the community she created lives on.

Do I have to like dark chocolate?

Our community includes every type of chocolate palate from the serious purists who eat only dark chocolate to those who prefer to enjoy the sweeter pleasures of milk chocolate, white chocolate and inclusion bars. No matter what you like, we hope you’ll join us.

How do I connect with others in the community?

Attend one of our events! Over the years many chocolate friendships have developed among our community. Meeting other chocolate lovers during one of our events is the best way to get to know others in our community.
