A true startup, Dandelion Chocolate was founded in a garage in San Jose, CA by Todd Masonis and Cameron Ring, two Stanford-trained engineers who had recently sold their tech company. Todd took a few years off to travel the world and to understand the chocolate-making traditions of different cultures before returning to the US and founding Dandelion Chocolate with Cam. While Cam has moved back to the tech world, Todd continues to helm the ship with former Google engineer (and nuclear submarine missile builder) Greg D'Alesandre, Dnadelion's Chocolate Sourcerer. Dandelion and its team have a wonderful chocolate factory in the Mission district in San Francisco where they make chocolate and offer lots of chocolaty treats. Greg travels the world to source the best cacao directly from farmers, and he and Todd are incredibly generous with the information they're willing to share with other chocolate makers. We are excited to have been one of the first retailers to carry their chocolate.
