One of the best pairings of wine and chocolate!
Chocolate makers Cynthia Leung and David Castellan from Soma Chocolate teamed up with wine maker J-L Groux from Stratus Vineyards in Ontario to create this luxurious dark chocolate.
They roasted cacao nibs and then placed them in an oak wine barrel partially filled with icewine lees. After three months of maturation they made a chocolate bar.
This bar is rich and fruity with a hint of its winey past. A beautiful combination that proves you can pair wine with chocolate.
