A Chocolopolis Chocolate Tasting is an experience that can be shared with colleagues, friends and family in a fun, hands-on environment. Similar to a wine tasting, a chocolate tasting gives you and your guests the opportunity to taste and compare chocolate made with cacao from different parts of the world while learning about craft chocolate and cacao farming and production.

Appropriate for all ages and occasions, your guests will try a range of chocolate made by small, artisan chocolate makers who specialize in the craft of turning the finest flavor cacao beans into silky, smooth and scrumptious chocolate. Anyone who loves chocolate will love a tasting experience.

We’re happy to book an event at Chocolopolis or at a location of your choosing. Prices vary depending on format of event, location and number of people. Below are descriptions for our most popular options. We’re happy to customize events to your needs.
The Drop-In at Chocolopolis
$65 Minimum purchase (onsite only)
Advance Reservation Required
We’ll reserve our counter during regular business hours for up to 6 people for a 15-minute guided chocolate tasting. We’ll select at least five artisan chocolate bars in advance for your tasting. You pay for the bars (minimum purchase of $65 before sales tax), we’ll take care of the guided tasting. This requires an advance reservation, so make sure to call ahead to find out when one of our trained chocolate guides is available.
The Budding Connoisseur
Onsite: $25/person + tax, 8-16 people
Offsite: $200 + $20/person + tax, minimum of 12 people

The Budding Connoisseur is great for groups who want to enjoy two hours of chocolate tasting and education. Learn to identify quality chocolate and to understand the chocolate making process while using all five senses to enjoy and discover the flavor profile of chocolate from
different origins. You’ll taste chocolate from eight of the finest chocolate makers in the world, and compare it with a childhood favorite bar. You’ll get our expert’s undivided attention and chocolate knowledge for up to two hours. Tastings held at Chocolopolis end with a cup of drinking chocolate and a truffle. Participants receive a 10% discount on chocolate purchases made during the course of the evening.
The Sampler at Chocolopolis
$450 + sales tax, limit 30 people
Location: Chocolopolis after hours

The Sampler is our most popular tasting package and is great for just about any occasion. Whether you’re planning a team morale-building event, an alumni gathering or a client appreciation event, this is a tasty option. You’ll have Chocolopolis to yourself for up to 2 hours. Your evening includes a 45-minute guided chocolate tasting, when you and your guests will learn to use all five senses to enjoy and discover the flavor profiles of chocolate from 5 different cacao-growing regions and compare them with a childhood favorite. While tasting chocolate, participants learn about the artisan bean-to-bar and craft chocolate movements, and how cacao varietal, fermentation and production techniques influence the quality of chocolate. The guided tasting ends with a cup of drinking chocolate and a Chocolopolis truffle for each participant. Class participants receive a 10% discount on purchases made during the event.
The Sampler Offsite
Offsite: $200 + $10/person + sales tax, 20 person minimum
Can’t make it to Chocolopolis? No problem, let us come to you! We’ll bring our chocolate expert to a location of your choice. The Sampler Offsite includes a 45-minute guided chocolate tasting where you and your guests will learn to use all five senses to enjoy and discover the flavor profiles of chocolate from 5 different cacao-growing regions and compare them with a childhood favorite. While tasting chocolate, participants learn about the artisan bean-to-bar and craft chocolate movements, and how cacao varietal, fermentation and production techniques influence the quality of chocolate.
For larger groups, $8/person plus tax, (200 person minimum)
This format is great for social events with larger groups. We’ll put a tasting station together with three artisan chocolates to taste. We continuously do mini-tastings as guests approach the table, tailored to their level of interest. The Mingler is great for professional organizations holding receptions. The price includes up to 2 hours of our time. We are happy to provide separate pricing for events lasting longer than 2 hours.
We’re also happy to work with you to create customized tasting events tailored to meet your particular needs. Customers have booked chocolate tastings for employee morale building events, dinner parties, professional receptions, birthday parties, and other celebrations. We can also design a chocolate tasting that complements a particular theme or interest.
